Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic cancer is 7th most common causes of death in United States.It can originate from different type of cell in the pancreas and there are several different types of pancreatic tumors, some of them can turn into real pancreatic cancer, called as adenocarcinoma of the pancreas.

Pancreatic cancer surgery

Dr. Singh can perform different type of surgery for different location of the tumor in the pancreas. It can be done laparoscopic or open surgery.

Whipple Procedure (Pancreaticoduodenectomy)

Whipple procedure is one of the most complex abdominal surgery. It involes resection of head of the pancreas, bile duct, gallbladder, part of small intestine, Duodenum, and part of stomach. Distal pancreatectomy

This is performed for very large locally advanced tumor in the body and tail of the pancreas.

Laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy

Dr. Singh can perfrom distal pancreatectomy both spleen preserving and with splenectomy for pancreatic tumors.

Total pancreatectomy

This is performed when the disease is involving most of the pancreas.
